Applications for Oxford’s flagship access programme open in December!
The FREE UNIQ programme offers UK state school students:
- An online support programme for those considering applying to Oxford in 2025
- A three-day academic residential in summer 2025 in Oxford, giving a taster of college and academic life, OR a visit to a summer Oxford open day (all travel, food and board covered)
- An opportunity to explore subjects that interest them and to experience studying in a university setting
- A chance to get to know current Oxford students and academics and find out if Oxford can help them shape their future
- Extensive and expert support with the Oxford admissions process
- An opportunity to make new friends from across the country
Every year, more than a quarter of UNIQ participants who apply to Oxford get offered a place. This is significantly higher than our average acceptance rate—each year, around one fifth of Oxford applicants who haven’t taken part in UNIQ are offered a place. Programme feedback over the last twelve years clearly shows that UNIQ has an extremely positive effect on participants and their futures, whether they go on to study at Oxford or not. Applications for UNIQ 2025 open in December and involve filling out a very quick and simple online form. Selection on to the programme considers students’ academic attainment alongside their socioeconomic background and educational opportunities. Oxford believes in diversity and equality and the UNIQ programme is one way the University is diversifying its undergraduate student body.
