Within Post 16 we take pride in fostering excellent links with local and regional employers, creating a link between education and the professional world.
These partnerships provide students with invaluable insights into various industries, helping them understand the skills and attributes that employers seek. Through regular academic workshops, MAC Talks and our annual Jobs Fair, students gain first-hand knowledge from professionals who share their experiences and expertise, enriching the learning environment.
Additionally, our close collaboration with employers facilitates numerous work experience opportunities. Students are encouraged to participate in work experience in the summer of Year 12 and job shadowing opportunities, allowing them to apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings. This practical experience not only enhances their personal development but also helps them develop essential workplace skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. Our partners range from local businesses to larger corporations, providing a diverse array of opportunities tailored to students’ interests and career aspirations.
