Macmillan Academy Post 16 is celebrating the achievements of its Year 13 students following another exciting Results Day.
Staff are delighted to see so many students not only achieving superb examination results, but also securing places on highly competitive degree courses at prestigious universities and gaining apprenticeships with some outstanding companies.
The results are the culmination of two years of hard work, determination and resilience from students, supported throughout by their families and the staff at Macmillan Academy.
Mrs Alex Scott, Head of Post 16, said:
“We are immensely proud of our Year 13 students. Results Day is about so much more than the grades on a piece of paper – it is about seeing where those grades can take our young people next.“So many of our students have achieved superb results and are now progressing to exciting degree courses, apprenticeships and employment opportunities. They have worked incredibly hard for this moment and it is wonderful to see that hard work rewarded.“To every single member of our Year 13 cohort, a huge well done. It has been a privilege to be part of your journey and we cannot wait to hear about the next chapter of your lives.”
Students will now be progressing to a wide variety of destinations, including universities across the UK, degree and higher apprenticeships, further training and employment.
Mrs Emma Turner, Assistant Head of Post 16, said:
“Today has been a fantastic opportunity to celebrate our students and everything they have achieved. We have watched them grow enormously during their time in Post 16, both academically and personally, and we are incredibly proud of the young adults they have become.“There have been some wonderful individual success stories, but what stands out most is the ambition our students have shown for their futures. We wish every one of them the very best as they take their next steps.”
The Post 16 team would also like to thank parents, carers and staff for the support and encouragement they have given students throughout their studies.
