The Civil Service delivers the UK public services and supports the government in the delivery and development of policy​. It employs around 500,000people across the country and overseas​. Civil Servants are employed across a wide range of professions, from customer service to engineering, to web designer to international trade to UK music industry to education to taxation and benefits . In our local Darlington Economic campus there are 23 different departments including the Department for Education, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development and HM Treasury. They recruit through apprenticeships and their fast stream graduate route. An excellent Mac Talk to attend if you are unsure about careers/ career pathways / routes after graduation.
