DRESS CODE
Post 16 Students are expected to look smart and well presented at all times and dress in a way that reflects the Post 16 working environment. Macmillan Post 16 reserves the right to determine what is deemed acceptable.
The following are examples of inappropriate dress:
- Ripped clothing
- Bare shoulders or midriffs and low-cut tops.
- Flip-flops
- Skirts/dresses that are too short for a workplace setting
- Clothing with offensive or inappropriate slogans
- Visible tattoos
Lanyards – Minimum Requirement
Wearing a lanyard is a non-negotiable minimum expectation for all Post 16 students and is essential for safeguarding and identification purposes. From the first day of term:
- Lanyards must be worn visibly at all times, to gain access to the site and whilst on site.
- Students without a lanyard may be sent home to retrieve it
- Repeated failure to wear a lanyard may result in disciplinary action
The Post 16 team may ask any student who does not meet the expectations to change or return home to do so. Repeated failure to follow the dress code will lead to escalation through the disciplinary process.
