Each student explored the galleries through the lens of their own project theme. They covered remembrance and memorials, Greek goddesses, horses, character development, architecture, portraiture, the stage, flora and fauna, and landscape. Students made detailed drawings, studied the museum’s stunning collection up close, and visited the new Impressions of Light exhibition, with works by Monet, Boudin and Courbet.

A huge thank you to The Bowes Museum team for hosting us. We can’t wait to see how this first-hand research shapes our students’ personal projects.
