Year 13 Leavers’ Event 2026

June 4, 2026

A warm and emotional afternoon unfolded at Macmillan Post 16 as staff and students came together to celebrate the remarkable journey of our Year 13 cohort. This year’s celebration was made even more special with the debut of our new signature sign-out camera, capturing unforgettable final moments, heartfelt goodbyes, and the excitement of stepping into the future.

Adding to the occasion, our Head Boy and Head Girl led a series of  moving interviews, giving a real voice to the Class of 2026. Their conversations captured memories, achievements, and hopes for what lies ahead, moments that truly bring this year’s story to life.

The event marked the end of a significant chapter for students who have spent either two or seven years within our school community.

The farewell celebration was filled with reflection, laughter, and pride as teachers and peers paid tribute to the hard work, resilience, and achievements of this exceptional cohort. From academic success to personal growth, they have left a lasting legacy across the academy.

“We are incredibly proud of everything our Year 13 students have accomplished,” said Mrs Scott. “Their dedication, spirit, and determination have been truly inspiring. As they prepare to embark on new adventures whether in higher education, apprenticeships, or the world of work, we know they will continue to shine.”

The afternoon was not only a celebration of achievements but also a chance to look ahead with optimism and excitement. With exam results on the horizon, the academy remains confident in their success and sends its very best wishes for the future.

To all our leavers: Thank you for being such a special part of our community. We can’t wait to see the amazing things you go on to achieve.

The entire Macmillan Academy community wishes the Class of 2026 every success and happiness in the bright future ahead.
