About

Psychology is an A level science recognised by all universities. It is a fascinating subject which is new to most students, that studies the mind and behaviour of individuals. It is suitable for a diverse range of students who wish to develop their interest and enjoyment of psychology, fostering its value in lifelong learning. Psychology is defined as 'the scientific study of the mind and behaviour'. Psychologists are concerned with increasing their knowledge and understanding of people and behaviour, and then applying their knowledge and understanding to bring about change for the better.

How will I be assessed?

A level Papers 1-3 are assessed at the end of Year 13 through three 2 hour written exams; these units comprise the AQA level award.

The course allows students to pursue a diverse range of career paths and is good preparation for a variety of university degree courses.
