About
Physics is the science of matter, energy, space and time. It covers a scale ranging from sub atomic particles such as quarks to stars and the entire universe. On the A level physics course you learn about both fundamental concepts and physics in everyday settings.
What will I study
The specification content is divided into six teaching modules and each module is further divided into key topics, with practical skills woven throughout.
- Module 1 - development of practical skills in physics
- Module 2 - foundations of physics
- Module 3 - forces and motion
- Module 4 - electrons, waves and photons
- Module 5 - newtonian world and astrophysics
- Module 6 - particles and medical physics

How will I be assessed?
This is a two year course with all exams taking place at the end of Year 13.
