Sarah Gething

Sport has always been a huge part of Sarah’s life. Whilst a student at Macmillan Academy, Sarah studied BTEC sport and was a keen badminton player. After leaving the academy in 2006, university followed, and Sarah is now a lecturer at Sunderland College in Sport and Public Services.

Sarah was delighted to be crowned Miss Teesside 2016 and has been a finalist in this year’s Miss Universe Great Britain.

Today, alongside her career as a lecturer, Sarah is also an ambassador for Dove, promoting body confidence and self-esteem, helping young people to achieve their dreams just as she has done.
